Who Should Study Nursing?
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree expands opportunities for nurses practicing in a variety of healthcare settings. You must hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse and have completed an associate’s degree, or a diploma nursing program.
As a working nurse, you need a Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree to take your career to the next level. Concentrate in either Nursing Education or Nursing Leadership, or pursue the dual MSN/Master of Business Administration degree path.
The Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (M.E.P.N.) is intended for the student who has already earned a baccalaureate or higher degree in a discipline other than nursing.
What You’ll Learn
In our R.N. to B.S.N program, combine online learning with part or full-time study, and six academic terms to create a flexible and personalized schedule. Receive credit for certifications, professional licenses, on-the-job training, and other college courses. You may be eligible for grants, loans, and scholarships in the form of financial aid. As a Franklin Pierce University graduate, you will be prepared to assume new roles, exhibit leadership skills, and pursue a graduate-level nursing program.
In our M.S.N. programs, choose a Master’s concentration in either Nursing Education or Nursing Leadership. Faculty members who are experienced professionals will guide you through a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Choose one of the following program tracks: (I) nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing; (II) associate degree or diploma nurse with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree; or (III) nurse without a bachelor’s degree. Combine online learning with part or fulltime study and four academic terms, to create a flexible and personalized schedule.
By completing the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (M.E.P.N.) degree, students will be prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and graduate with a Master of Science in Nursing. The MEPN program will provide students with a general foundation in nursing as well as master’s level courses that will impart the necessary skills for their future success in key nursing leadership roles, which will improve patient outcomes in healthcare.
In our Dual Degree, Master of Science in Nursing & Master of Business Administration, you can take your career to the next level with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)/Master of Business Administration (MBA) Dual Degree. As a registered nurse looking to pursue a leadership role, you can develop your expertise in nursing and business.
The R.N. to B.S.N. curriculum emphasizes professional development and ethical decision-making, preparing graduates to excel as compassionate and competent nurse leaders in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape. Our curriculum allows working nurses to balance their academic pursuits with their professional and personal responsibilities, facilitating a seamless transition to the next level of nursing practice.

If you have already completed an MSN degree at Franklin Pierce, you must be accepted into the MBA program before taking courses toward completion of the second degree. Once admitted, you must complete a minimum of 24 credits in the MBA curriculum to earn an MBA degree.
